Professional Dog Training

Rebekah has a background training assistance dogs, teaching assistance dog puppyraiser classes, teaching classes for 4-Hers and the general public, and helping people solve common "pet" problems.

The first step toward a well-trained pet is selecting the right dog. All too often, problems occur because the dog is not well suited for the lifestyle of the owner. Helping you select the right dog for you is a service we are happy to offer.

We offer a variety of options to suit your individual needs. Four-week classes are offered each month and are kept small to allow participants to work toward their specific goals. If we are not currently offering a class that interests you, round up some friends with similar training goals and "Create-A-Class" of three to six dogs at your location or ours. Contact Rebekah for more information. Private lessons with Rebekah are also available in thirty minute or one hour sessions.

Available Classes

Agility Primer - Agility is an exciting dog sport where you and your dog work as a team to complete a course of tunnels, jumps, contact obstacles, hoops, and weave poles. This class will provide you and your dog a good foundation. If your dog has energy to burn, this is the class for you! Agility is a lot of fun for both dogs and people.

Click-a-Trick - Discover endless possibilities by learning a whole new way to communicate with your dog. You will be amazed at how quickly your dog picks up new things with clicker training. We will work on basic tricks first, but we will also be able to help with tricks of your choosing - from very basic to very advanced. This will be a FUN, FUN class!! Great for puppies as well as dogs, in fact, once you complete this class, you will be able to use this method of training on horses, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and anything else you can think of! Click-a-Trick classes will be smaller, with a maximum of four students.

Basic Obedience - The perfect starting place for any dog or puppy. In addition to covering basic behaviors, such as sit, down, come, walking on a loose leash, etc., you will also learn how to prevent (or in some cases, fix!) common problems around the house. Even if your dog knows the basics, this is a great class to take to work on focus.

Intermediate Obedience - In this class, we will continue with things learned in Basic Obedience, adding higher distraction levels. We will introduce stays, heeling, "leave it" and more.
